Spanish representative in the World Chocolate Masters

Last days 2 and 3 February was held at the Academy of Chocolate Chocovic the contest to pick the English representative at the world finals to be held next October in Paris.
The various preparations, including a piece of art which prepared the five candidates for election, received a very high standard. Candidates selected for participate in the final were: Angel Alonso Valbuena, Slvador García Moreno, Andres Marmol Garcia, Lluis Riera Callús and Francisco José Somoza Estévez. Finally, after two days of work, won first place, and selected as the English representative, the young Francisco José Somoza de Madrid. Salvador Garcia was the runner up and Andrew Marble third, although all participants with very tight scores given their great professionalism. The photo shows the top three after the verdict.


The renowned pastry chef Christian Escriba Barcelona led a large jury professionals from different parts of Spain and representatives of media communications professionals, including editors Montagud President, Francisco Javier Antoja, with long experience as a juror in national and international competitions, in his capacity as editor of The Confectionery English (pictured left with other members of the jury).

finally highlighted the superb organization of the event by the Academy Chocolat components and equipment Chocovic work and Barry-Callebaut.
